Our trip was fantastic because Marta and Katie picked us up two mornings each, they both took the stress out of lines and times. They both adapted to our family members, each conversing with our grandchildren, their parents, and the grandparents informing, teaching, and guiding us thru our Roman experiences with memorable excellence. We wholeheartedly recommend them. Thank you, both. Aubrey and Carol Haigler

About Carolina G.
Hi, I'm Carolina, a licensed tour guide born and raised in Venice — and proud of it.
I grew up in close contact with the lagoon and the sea. Boat trips with my family, discovering the waterways and islands around us, were what sparked my curiosity as I grew older, making me want to learn and understand everything that surrounded me. Travel became my greatest passion, and through it I began to realize how many deep connections my Venice has with the rest of the world — in traditions, art, and architecture.
I studied Cultural Tourism Management at the University of Padua and completed a Master's degree in Tourism Management at IULM. I also lived for a year in Seville and completed a seven-month internship in New York. That journey allowed me to combine everything I love: the study of history and art history with my passion for travel and for the people who travel. In the end, I understood what I wanted to do with my life — share everything I had learned with others, here, in my Venice.
Being a tour guide is not just a job for me; it is a dream come true. It is a privilege to have combined my passions with my work. I feel entrusted with something important in a city that is among the most beautiful in the world, and it is a great honor to lead people through the calli of Venice — especially to the lesser-known, hidden corners that most visitors never find. Venice is a labyrinth of narrow streets, bridges, and canals, and people rely on us to discover it. Seeing their curiosity and happiness as they explore is my greatest satisfaction.
My favourite tours? Without a doubt, anything that takes us off the beaten path or onto the water. I love showing the hidden Venice that lies beyond the main squares — the quiet courtyards, the forgotten churches, the artisan workshops tucked behind ancient doors. But my heart truly belongs to the lagoon islands: stepping onto a boat and seeing Venice from the water is an emotion unlike any other, something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. If I could only choose two tours to do for the rest of my life, they would be our Venice: Murano and Burano Boat Tour with Glass Blowing Show and our Venice: Grand Canal Private Boat Tour — no hesitation whatsoever.
I look forward to welcoming you!
